I am a 28 year old female with a five year old daughter. She is my joy. I am one of those "crunchy" mommies. I also home school. Kinda busy.

I sought out this site because I am uber confused. I have never been attracted physically to men. However growing up in an Amish community that is what expected. I left the community when I got older and strangely I was drawn to men. Still not finding anything special.

So now I know I like women. Their bodies are divine. However can you have a forever relationship with out ever doing anything "down there" the thought creeps me out. How I got my daughter I shall never know. Does any of this make sense?

Hi and welcome.  I imagine it is possible to have a relationship without doing something "down there", although intimacy is a huge part of a lasting, loving partnership/marriage and it seems as if something huge would be missing.  That being said, you may just find someone who feels the same as you, who knows.

I'm wondering if perhaps (and no disrespect intended) you may have some lingering "creeped out" feelings from what you learned about sex in the Amish community.  I admittedly do not know much about the Amish community but I assume that sexuality and freedom of sexual expression and celebration of the naked body isn't really a focus.  Perhaps some counseling with a therapist may help you sort out your feelings toward sex and sexuality and the human body.

There is also the possibility that when you find someone you love the thought of sharing yourself and exploring your partner will seem natural and not so icky!
