As happy as I am about the news from New York, it's hard to celebrate if you're from Holland Michigan. Last week our city council voted AGAINST providing anti-
discrimination protection for the LBGT community by a vote of 5 to 4. A group I have joined on Facebook has been organizing and gaining momentum, but aside from a few local TV stations and a couple of news papers, the national media isn't paying any attention and won't respond. We have a great group of organizers running admin, and taking advice from all who will give it. We started out slow then shot up to over 2000 members fairly quick, but have started to slow down, and we CANNOT let this movement die, or lose steam. This is too important for to many people, who live in this ultra conservative town, half of which is owned by Elsa Prince, if you don't know who she is, educate yourself. If ANY one cares to help grow our group and make our voice louder, please feel free to join us, or even just check out our open page and spread the word. Thank you...https://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_178773655512563&ap=1

What a great image you have there, it's very simple but striking. I wish for your movement to become stronger and louder. I will be posting it on my FB account, too. And I am also joining, of course. :)
