I don’t feel bad to say that I am a lesbian. My partner (we are just committed) is my best friend. I don’t know how to make my mom understand this. It’s about 2 years since we started our relationship. Initially, we were friends and don’t know how it changed. We both were of the same mind and accepted the fact. The sad thing is that she couldn’t come to my home after my mom came to know this. And she always keeps monitoring me and my activities through her phone. A monitoring system is being placed in my room and she never allows me to disarm it. Oops! An alarm! When I had checked her laptop, I came to see a bookmarked blog. [ http://www.apialarm.com/blog/smart-security/smart-security-alarm/] She might have got the idea of a security system from this blog. My privacy has been intruded. It’s my life and I would decide whom to live with. Mom’s security is quite disgusting. How can I make her realize that our life is going to work well? Help me. I just want to get rid of this security systems!

Your problem is larger than the alarm.  Your mom has to be educated and learn to accept that you are a lesbian.  Get her some brochures from PFLAG
