Hi!
I'm a girl from Finland. I'm now 14, but I'll be 15 this year. I'm unsure about my sexual orientation. I've had crushesh on boys in the past but for a long time I haven't been intrested in them. I find girls very attractive. So I'm probably lesbian or bisexual.
I found this forum when I googled for lbgt forums. I'm looking for other people to talk with. In my real life I haven't told any one. In the internet I've talked with one girl like me and I actually met her in real life. I'm still feeling myself really lonely because of this sexual orientation thing (and other reasons, too).
I love playing piano. I also like singing though I'm not so good at it. I also love reading and writing, my favorite books are Harry Potter and Emily of the New Moon series. I think I could also list school as one of my interests because I like studying, especially languages. I know Finnish and English (of course) and a bit of Swedish. I'd like to learn more and actually I'm going to start to read Latin or Italian in high school.
That's my introduction, hopefully there's not mistakes in my spelling.

Wow - only 14 and so accomplished already! I only know one language! I get the feeling you are going to go really far in life - and it won't matter if you are straight, gay or bi. Your sexual orientation will become clear as time goes by. If you want to talk with others, try to find an lgbt center in Finland.

Here is a link I found to SETA in Finland which is an lgbt rights site and I bet you will find something to help you out here: http://www.seta.fi/en.php

There are several people in this forum who are experiencing the same emotions as you. They have listed in Support or Introduce yourself. You can always send them a PM so that it is more personal and less open to the public!

Here is some info I found on lgbt history in Finland:

Seta
is a national LGBTI rights non-governmental organization, founded in 1974. Seta has member organizations and supporting members throughout Finland. The member organizations welcome everyone; lesbians, gays, bisexuals, straight people, transgendered and intersexed as well as their straight friends.

Seta is supported by RAY, (Finland's Slot Machine Association); the Ministry of Education and the municipalities. We also raise funds through donations, membership fees and agreements of co-operation.

The major decision-making body of Seta is the annual Representatives' Assembly. The activity is managed by the Board and the staff is lead by the Secretary General. Seta has several employees based in its office at Pikku-Huopalahti, Helsinki; however voluntary civic action plays a central role in all its activities.

Oh, thanks! I appreciate that somebody seems willing to help me. I've known Seta for years. I'm thinking about takeing part on their summer activities to meet other lgbt people, if I dare. And I think I'm not that accomplished. Englihs is just the language you have to know. But thanks still for the compliment, I hope you're right and I will get far. And really, thanks for takeing your time to help me.
