|My name is Zoe Leibowitz and I am a doctoral candidate at Spalding University. As part of my graduate work, I must complete a research dissertation.
My IRB approved research looks at the virginity loss experience of gays and lesbians as well as their subsequent sexual functioning. These topics have been researched heavily among the heterosexual population, however, have been largely ignored with regard to the LGBTQ community. The purpose of the current study is to examine the impact of virginity loss on current sexual functioning. In order to assess this, three questionnaires will be presented intended to gather information on the experience of virginity loss and current sexual functioning.
