NATIONAL COMING OUT DAY

From Wikipedia

National Coming Out Day is an annual LGBT awareness day observed on October 11.

Founded in 1988, in the feminist and gay liberation spirit of the personal being political, the emphasis is that the most basic form of activism is coming out to family, friends and colleagues, and living life as an openly lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender person. The foundational belief is that homophobia thrives in an atmosphere of silence and ignorance, and that once people know that they have loved ones who are lesbian or gay, they are far less likely to maintain homophobic or oppressive views. In the LGBT community, "coming out" means the voluntary self-disclosure of one's sexual orientation and/or gender identity.

Sort of old news to my family, friends & acquaintances, but just in case anyone did not know, I AM BISEXUAL. Been out to one degree or another since the early 1970s when I discovered this part of me (or confirmed it) for the first time.

And NO, I am not confused or going thru a phase (for 45 years?). I am not the player I used to be and it appears I am gay by the actual number of men I get intimate with, but it is by default because women do not come on to me as much as do men. However, I still occasionally have sex with women and enjoy it when the opportunity occurs. (Thanx Linda).
