Congratulations!  You must feel so good and have a feeling of freedom - like a huge weight has been lifted off your shoulders!  I know I did.....  Do the rest in good time.  It will be easier and easier to come out until eventually it is something you do without really thinking about it too much.  And I am so happy for you that you received a positive response from those you love!  Well done!:)

So, I agree - the forum is quiet.  Not sure why.  I think most people post and wait for a reply but do not go to others'  posts and reply to them.....  If you have any ideas that may get people talking more - post it here and maybe the admin will see it and change things.  Different topics?  Less structure????

Thanks Marshmellow, It made a giant difference I'm still walking on a cloud lol.Still have yet to come out to my parents and older brother but I'm not rushing it,gonna wait for the right time to present itself.I feel a lot better,I feel like the me I love and that means so much I could'nt put into words.Tonight I went to an LGBT support clubhouse for the first time, and although I don't know anyone really it felt like home.Thank you so much for your encouraging words,it reminded me of what it's all about and how long I lived a lie and now that I don't have to keep lying and pretending anymore I feel soooo relieved omg!!! I feel so grateful I might cry.I'm so much happier than I was right now.So you felt that weight lift too? Is'nt it Awesome! How'd it go for you? On another note I don't really have any creative ideas on how to get the forum going,I may think of something though,Maybe we'll think of something.write back or pm.Have a great nite, and Thanks!, Joey Boiling frog.

Sounds like such an exciting time for you!  As you start to come out to more people you may find that some are less accepting than others - and that is OK.  They all need to accept at their own pace - and it doesn't mean they don't love you.  So, keep moving forward on your positive path and let them travel along their's.  They will come around when they are ready.

I did have a huge feeling of relief after I came out.  My sister and I are both gay (and the only two kids) so we decided to come out to our parents together.  I didn't sleep the night before.  After telling them, we left the house to give them space to experience their feelings (at the advice of my therapist) and we crashed out for hours in the park.  We were both so relieved that it was over and that it went as well as could be expected.

You have great experiences ahead - enjoy!

:) yea that sounds cool,I like the idea of giving your parents time to sort out their feelings it seems like an important courtesy. So far I'm doing alright,I just moved too so it's been real crazie lately. And I'm real excited cause I'm me and in an mostly open accepting place here with an LGBT community and everthing. So there's lots of support that I've only begun to explore. My birthdays coming up,lol I was born on National Coming Out day so it's weird like a coming of age or something, wish I had been less confused and it had'nt taken so long that's life though like they say.So yea I'm glad it went well for you and your sis. That's Awesome! Yea I've dealt with lots of negativity before and might have to deal with it again(hope not)if I do I do I'm mostly out and I keep opening up,I've got nothing to hide.I feel real good though it's like omg finally Yay!!So yea I look foward to the future with hope, and more peace of mind.Much better,:q ,Hope all is well with you,J
