I was just looking around online hoping to make new friends from the LGBT community when I happened to stumble upon this site. I'm a lesbian who is in a happy, committed relationship. We've been together just over 2 years, but we've been good friends for nearly a decade.
I spend a lot of my time writing and learning as much as I can about the things that matter to me. Most of the time I am focused on politics and current events that affect the LGBT community. I am a very open-minded person who truly enjoys great conversation. Humor, music, intellectual endeavors; whatever you want to get into, I'm down.
Hello and welcome. As you can see, we have a shy group of people here but lots to explore for sure! I started this site with the hopes of support, connectivity and vibrant discussion so you are very welcome to reply to posts and engage others!
I think that getting into a relationship after being friends for so long makes so much sense! The ingredients for a real long term relationship. I've been with my wife for 26 years. We've been married the last 6 years. I didn't think the ring would make a difference - but it does. It did immediately! I could only imagine what it would be like if all people viewed us as married - and respected our relationship as such.
