Hey everyone!

My name is Kyle, I am an FtM and really just looking for people to talk to :P.

I'm a gamer, I love to sing and draw. I recently graduated from the University of Guelph for veterinary assisting, I currently don't have a job : < and the boredom is starting to get to me.

I'm a really open person so please feel free to contact me and chat.

Hello Kyle, nice to meet you. I'm Tim. (rather new to this place) but people don't seem too talkative (although maybe that's just my impression) So what kind of games do you play?

Hey Tim, I have found the same thing but maybe it's just me to.
I play pretty much everything mostly RPG's. I suck at FPSers because I'm to bloody
jumpy :P
Some of the games I have really enjoyed over the years have been, the Zelda franchise, FF7, Fable, AoE, WoW, I'm still a huge pokemon fan, Sims, and other random ones along the way. How about you? lol

Not too huge on video games anymore (though I was an avid Zelda fan as well as FF7 -- never allowed Wow to sweep me away--) In fact my first major of choice was video game design. I loved rendering objects in 3d. I wonder how much blender and maya have changed in the last couple years lol. Anymore I just like to create things. I'm trying to keep engaged in FF13 but it takes so much time out of my day you know? Ha!

So what else do you do ? : )

I don't do a whole lot anymore to be honest :P.
I draw a little here and there and a friend of mine is running a Minecraft server which I do all the art for (banners, sites, plug-in banners) things like that. Singing is something I enjoy doing, even though the tone of my voice is still rather high.
I stopped playing Wow a few weeks ago so I have a lot more free time. lol

My day consists mostly of me taking care of my boyfriend. He's been sick since he was young. I can't go out with friends or have a full time job because I have to be with him. It's kinda the reason I came on here to talk to people ^.^

So what are you going to school for right now? I'm all done my schooling now.

:( I'm sorry to hear that he is sick... why is that?

I am pursuing a baccalaureate degree in Graphic Design at Ferris State University, and I absolutely love it.

Some times I think I should have gotten into an art/design school. I really enjoy doing that kinda stuff.

My boyfriend was born with a gene that would make his body become vulnerable to diseases if he ever got a serious injury. Which he did when he was 7 years old while playing hockey and now has a few disease which are extremely painful and he has a hard time doing things for himself sometimes. Its no big deal to us, we live our lives very care free and don't stress about things.

So what has brought you to this site?

exploration... to be honest. I've lived life as a celebate Christian for 22 years... I'm just trying to meet new people. The midwest is sort of difficult for meeting people who are similar to me.

I think it's cool that you have a bf that you take such good care of. :)

I try my best. : )

I'm here to find people much like myself to talk to. Can be hard to find people who understand in your own town/city.

what state do you live in? The midwest seems pretty unfriendly.

Sorry it has taken so long to respond. Been busy lately.

I live in no state. I live up here in a happy place called Canada. Everyone in town here is fine with who I am, and my surgeries and such are covered.

^.^ it wouldn't be a bad idea.
He is just fine. Most problems are being controlled by medication the only problem we are facing right now is some hip replacements and his spine is starting to fuse together which is causing some discomfort.

:( My condolences. I don't mean to make it sound like life is sad or anything because I know you both have each other. But Kyle that shit is hard... and even harder for him I imagine. You both are an inspiration and a testament of faithful love to someone who questions if that is even out there. Tell him that if you feel inclined to. :) I hope his situation improves... what's his name?

Hey Kyle! I'm FTM too.

I strongly recommend getting a Livejournal at http://www.livejournal.com/create.bml  . It's fine if you don't want to keep an online journal. You don't have to post in your personal journal. The point is the communities; that's where the support and people to talk to are, quite a bit more than here. Just reading the communities is hugely helpful; no one will pressure you to post or to share private info. See http://transgender.livejournal.com/1133801.html  for LJ communities that may help you. I recommend the ftm, transcanada, and transgender communities in particular, but more is better. Go to the userinfo (profile) page of any community and click the link at the top right of the profile, where it says Join. And spend a lot of time at http://ftm.livejournal.com/tag/ .

Links for you - take your time going through them! The point is that you have a load of them so you can go through them at whatever pace you want, and in whatever order you want, and not have to stop to look for more for quite a while. Getting through them is not a race, and going through them slowly is probably a better idea. :)  Go through them in whatever order you want; I just have them listed by URL length so they're easier to read. There are lots of places to give support as well as get it.

Must-reads if you can get hold of them:
* Just Add Hormones by Matt Kailey
* Luna by Julie Anne Peters (YA fiction)
* Becoming a Visible Man by Jamison Green
* Parrotfish by Ellen Wittlinger (YA fiction)
* The Transgender Child by Stephanie Brill and Rachel Pepper
* Trans Forming Families, edited by Mary Boenke (third edition, 2008) - available from PFLAG's Transgender Network for $10 US
* The Our Trans Children leaflet (sixth edition) - available from PFLAG's Transgender Network for $2 US, or you can save and print it yourself for free.  The booklet is their only source of revenue, so if you can pay for it, please do!
* TransGeneration (Ignore what Lucas says in the first episode about hormones being "very dangerous" - they're not, not if you get them through a competent doctor and have regular - which usually means annual - bloodwork, and that was irresponsible of him to say.)
(The books, aside from Trans Forming Families, can be ordered on Amazon or you can get the ISBNs from Amazon and bring them to any bookstore to order them. The DVD can be ordered on Amazon also, as you see from the link.)

Thank you very much. His name is Joshua.
It sounds hard and horrible but it isn't as bad as it sounds I guess :P

We were approved for a very wonderful drug that has made his life 100% better then it was a couple years ago. We do all the same things normal people would, we go out for dinner and go for walks, go swimming. We just have to be careful.

Now with that said he can't get better, but we are happy with the way things are.
I will for sure tell him your kind words.
